VALSERRANO GRACIANO 2021

Grape and Wine Identity

A clear commitment to singularity and authenticity. This wine is born from the winery’s dedication to recovering and enhancing historic Rioja grape varieties, vinified as single-varietal wines to fully express their personality.

Traditionally used in small proportions, Graciano finds here its fullest expression: a vibrant, deep and long-lived wine that reflects the natural freshness of the variety and its extraordinary ageing potential. An elegant and precise interpretation of a demanding grape, crafted for lovers of wines with identity and character. Graciano is perhaps the only truly indigenous grape variety of Rioja. Its high fixed acidity, abundant polyphenols and colour stability have led to a renewed interest in its cultivation, both for long-ageing blends and expressive single-varietal wines.

Valserrano Graciano 2021 combines intensity and freshness. Its spicy character and floral touch make it ideal for those seeking wines with soul and personality—a red wine with energy and its own distinctive style.

Winemaking and Ageing

Sourced from our “Bayondo” vineyard, a family-owned plot over 40 years old located in Villabuena, with clay-limestone soils. Harvesting is carried out manually, with rigorous selection of grapes at optimal ripeness.

Fermentation takes place in temperature- controlled tanks, with careful macerations that extract colour, structure and aromatic complexity while preserving the natural freshness of the variety.

The wine is then aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, gaining balance, depth and elegance while maintaining the varietal character of Graciano. Bottle ageing has continued since June 2024.
